Project overview

AutoZone Store – Richmond

For this new AutoZone store in Richmond, Virginia, CBE Glass installed the aluminum storefront system, the ribbon windows along the brick façade and the commercial entrance doors. The photos follow the project from the empty shell to the finished front elevation, showing how storefront framing is set, anchored and glazed on a new-construction retail building.

The challenge

Retail fit-outs run on fixed opening dates set months in advance. Storefront work has to fit between framing, MEP and the tenant's own fixtures, and in malls it must follow landlord rules for barricades, deliveries and after-hours work.

Our solution

We laid out and anchored the aluminum storefront framing, glazed it with tempered safety glass and installed the entrance doors with commercial-grade closers, pivots and locks, finishing every joint with weathertight sealant. Throughout the job, our team coordinated closely with the general contractor and the owner, kept the site clean and safe, and protected finished surfaces until turnover.

The result

The finished storefront gives the brand maximum visibility from the street or mall corridor, with clean sightlines that put the merchandise on display and a durable entrance built for heavy daily traffic. Discover more of our work in Northern Virginia.
